When it came time to change this website I left this page until last, because it is the hardest page to change.
Im 2004 my late husband and I gave up our respective careers and wandered off around the world building unusual stuff, from a villa on a Caribbean island to a boutique hotel in Turkey to finally the last project, a complete rebuild of a stone village house, The Artists House in Kirazli Koy.
Just after we had finished the house my husband died, very suddenly, and I lost my best friend, the better half of me and my inspiration.
And now two and a half years later I am still here in Kirazli, still breathing, still watching the sun on the pine trees and the seasons come and go.
These days I run a small boutique medical tourism company and I write, lots, from creative writing to business advice to property advice to travel articles. Have broadband, will sell words!
Kirazli has become home, the turn of the seasons has become familiar, the lifestyle works for me.
We have tentative plans to build something in glass and wood when this house sells, I fancy doing modern having done traditional and I fancy going off-grid if I can find the right plot.
I have a cat called Evils, a couple of dogs, Shadow and Vinnie, the support of a kind and caring partner and my brilliant friends and neighbours here.
I am not alone and I am looked after
I still think I am lucky, for all we did and all we found and for being granted a life less ordinary.
